Let’s talk about menus. There are 2 that you should be utilizing in different ways.
- The Menu you hand out and have in your shop should list only services and prices.
- The Menu on your website should list the same, but go into more detail.
One page or a half page for your menu is the maximum.
The only other things that should be on your menu besides logo, services and prices are
- cancellation policies
- your website where your clients can find more information
Too many options will overwhelm and confuse your clients.
A great idea for offering options is to offer the same service with different time limits:
- 30 Min
- 60 Min
- 90 Min
All varying in price according to how much time the client has, still giving each client a unique experience.
The minute any client asks you after looking at your menu, “Well, what service do you think I should get?I’m just not sure where to start..” Your menu is too long.
- How are you getting information to them?
- How are they receiving information?
- How are they processing it, and coming in?
Keep your clients happy!
Your clients want to feel like they are number one, like you have no other clients before or after them–and that’s it.
Always be thinking about new ways to make things easy and simple for your clients.
Ways you can go above and beyond for your clients:
- Allow them to call and pick up product from you, even if you’re with another client.
- Provide consultations on services they haven’t had before
- Hold client appreciation days
Focusing on what you’re doing for your clients and providing is key.
What everyone else is doing is not important when it comes to your business.
It’s great to look at other business’ or fan pages for inspiration and ideas, but becoming too focused on what other people are doing is detrimental.
Put all that focus onto yourself and your business–focus on what you are doing.
Now is the time to think outside the box.
