The Wax Class Series for estheticians on YouTube all started in 2014 when I decided to post my journey as an esthetician. Like many estheticians, I struggled with deciding to leave my $80,000 a year job and dive head first into the esthetics industry. My first year as an esthetician was filled with a LOT of disappointment and very little money. That was 12 years ago and my journey has been rocky and a lot of hard work along with failures and frustration.
When I sat down and wrote out my ideas for each of the 6 episodes I decided to talk about subjects that are not discussed in our industry. The response to my YouTube series has been overwhelming and very supportive from my fellow estheticians. Since the launch on January 1, 2015 we have since recorded a second season that has receiving in more attention than season 1.
For Season 2 I decided to take a different approach and discuss topics that will help estheticians reach their full potential. The rewarding part of The Wax Class series is that I am able to not only share my experiences, but I am able to give advice and information without expecting anything in return. This has been my platform for the “pay it forward” movement and I am able to reach every esthetician and beauty professional in the world.
My wish with this blog post is that you share it with your esty friends, especially those you who are looking for encouragement when you question why you decided to become an esthetician! I hope my story encourages you to stay focused and set your goals high! You are an Esthetician!
